A 28-year-old State College man is facing charges for allegedly seizing control of the Tussey Mountain Back race website after volunteering to redesign it. According to a criminal complaint, a website owner contacted police in February of last year regarding a domain dispute. The owner reported that in November of 2023, he agreed to let Nicholas Bodner volunteer his services to revamp the website, providing access with the understanding that ownership would be retained. The men later disagreed on the final design, and the owner refused to provide activation codes last February. Subsequently, Bodner allegedly withheld access and passwords, rendering the website inoperable and preventing the owner from posting event information. The site displayed only an error page, forcing the victim to create a new site and incur additional costs. Bodner faces charges of disruption of services, computer theft, and computer trespass, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for December 10th.
