On Monday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act of 2025, sending the bipartisan legislation to President Donald Trump for his expected signature.  Introduced by Rep. Republican  Glenn “GT” Thompson of Howard, the bill amends National School Lunch Program regulations that currently restrict offerings to fat-free or 1% milk.  If signed, schools will be permitted to serve flavored and unflavored whole and reduced-fat milk.  The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau praised the decision, noting that the change restores options absent from schools for over a decade.  President Chris Hoffman stated that expanding milk choices will improve student nutrition by increasing consumption, while providing a critical boost to the dairy industry.
