Thousands of cases of salad dressing are being recalled due to the presence of “foreign objects.” More than three-thousand-500 cases of salad dressing, including the popular Hidden Valley Buttermilk Ranch and Italian, were recalled because “black plastic planting material” was found in the dressing’s granulated onion. The dressings were distributed to seven retailers across 42 locations including Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, and Texas. The FDA said the recall from California-based Ventura Foods was initiated on November 11th and identified as a “Class Two” on December 4th, meaning exposure to the product could lead to temporary and adverse health consequences.
