Four Johnstown men were jailed following a December 11th police raid on a Fairfield Avenue residence described as a “severely infested” drug house. The investigation began when Pennsylvania State Police conducted a traffic stop and discovered a loaded 9mm handgun, alprazolam pills, and over $800 in cash. One occupant, 34-year-old Marcus Ervin—who is legally prohibited from carrying a firearm—claimed he took the bag from his brother’s home without knowing a weapon was inside. Information from that stop led authorities to search the Fairfield Avenue property, where they seized 20 grams of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Investigators discovered a teenager living in the house, described as “deploarable.” Reportedly the home was overrun with cockroaches, bedbugs, dog feces, and bottles of urine. Those charged include Marcus Ervin, 40-year-old Jason Johnson, 30-year-old Eric Ervin, and 28-year-old Justin Ervin. All face numerous drug charges and other related counts. They are currently in the Cambria County Prison in lieu of bail.
