The judge in the Luigi Mangione case says he’ll decide in May about evidence the defense wants tossed from the upcoming trial. The three-week pre-trial hearing for Mangione, the man accused of murdering United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, wrapped up yesterday. The evidence Mangione’s defense team wants thrown out includes the alleged murder weapon and notes found on Mangione during his arrest at McDonald’s on Plank Road last December in Altoona. His lawyers say police in Altoona did not have a warrant to search Mangione’s backpack. The New York City judge says he will make his ruling on May 18th.
