The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is expecting over seven-million drivers to use the route now through New Year’s Day. Construction and maintenance work is being suspended through January first. Additional safety personnel and Pennsylvania state troopers are working along the turnpike through the holiday period as well. Officials are reminding drivers to follow the state’s Move Over law and to stay off cell phones while travelling.
