A 33-year-old Somerset County woman, Sara Johnston, faces criminal charges for an alleged sexual relationship with a teenager that began when he was 14 years old. According to the criminal complaint, Johnston was arrested in October following the victim’s disclosure of the abuse. In an interview the child reportedly told authorities that Johnston would provide him alcohol, and they had intercourse on numerous occasions. Johnston is facing charges that include involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors, and other related counts. Reportedly her bail was posted in November and her case has been sent to the court of common pleas where she awaits a pre-trial conference in Somerset County.
