Forty-one-year-old Dwight Gray Jr., of Altoona was arrested on Monday after allegedly threatening a cable technician with a firearm, and attempting to hijack his bucket truck.  According to the Altoona Police Department, the incident occurred on the 1100 block of 15th Avenue while the victim was suspended 30 feet in the air.  Gray allegedly demanded the worker descend and empty his pockets, threatening to “empty the clip on him” when he refused.  Police report that Gray then entered the truck’s cab and attempted to drive away, with the victim still in the aerial bucket.  When the vehicle failed to move, Gray allegedly began climbing toward the worker before retreating to his own SUV and fleeing the scene.  Officers located and apprehended Gray shortly after the 911 call was placed.  Police reportedly noted that Gray was under the influence of alcohol.  He has been charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and other related counts.  He has been placed in the Blair County Prison, in lieu of bail.
