A 40-year-old Johnstown woman has been charged with felony aggravated animal cruelty after city police discovered a box of dead kittens inside her former residence. Charged was Velda Lee Naugle. Reportedly, the discovery was made at the Coppersdale Homes in July. Johnstown Police not only found the dead kittens, but three adult cats that had been abandoned for several weeks. Naugle was officially arraigned this week. She is currently free on unsecured bail, and is to face a preliminary hearing on January 14th.
