Authorities are investigating the death of 55-year-old April Stamps of Altoona, who was found deceased in her Blair County Prison cell at last Friday morning. The Blair County Coroner’s Office was alerted to the scene at approximately 10:23 a.m. While investigators did not initially specify her charges, district attorney officials later noted she was being held on an adult parole matter and was awaiting sentencing in multiple cases.
