Following Lou Schmitt’s resignation to join the Blair County Court of Common Pleas, a special election has been set for March 17th to fill his seat in the Pennsylvania House. House Republican Leader Jesse Topper confirmed that the 79th Legislative District office, located on Beale Avenue in Altoona, remains fully operational in the interim. Managed by House staff, the office continues to assist residents of Altoona, Allegheny Township, and Logan Township with state-related issues and ongoing inquiries.
