The Pennsylvania prosecutor in two high-profile cases is dead. Joseph McGettigan passed away on New Year’s Eve. McGettigan gained publicity in 1997 as the lead prosecutor in the murder case against millionaire John du Pont. Later he went on to secure a conviction against former football coach Jerry Sandusky in the Penn State sexual abuse scandal. McGettigan was 76.
