Cambria Co., To Cut Spending On Travel Expenses

In response to a recent seven-mill property tax hike that sparked public outcry, Cambria County Commissioners are cracking down on employee travel.  While residents initially pushed for spending cuts over tax increases, the board is now “tightening the belt” by requiring all conference and training travel to undergo a strict necessity review.  President Commissioner Scott Hunt noted that while some departments have voluntarily limited spending, this formal directive ensures county-wide compliance.
