Blair Co., Rep., Committee To Hold Special Vote, To Be Streamed On WRTA FB Page

blair-republican-committee

Following an order from the Pennsylvania Department of State, Blair County has scheduled a special election for March 17th.  The election will fill the unexpired term of former state Representative Lou Schmitt, who resigned on December 31st, to begin his tenure as a Blair County judge following his successful November election.  Tonight the Blair County Republican Committee will hold a special election of their own in an attempt to fill that vacant position.  The vote will take place at the Altoona Grand Hotel, and is only open to committee members, however Lightner Communications will be streaming this special election on the WRTA Facebook page beginning at 6:30.  We will be airing statements made before the vote, and talk to the winner after the vote.  WRTA’s Dr. John McGinnis will be hosting the live coverage, again streamed live  on the WRTA Facebook page beginning at 6:30 this evening.
