The Tatman Run and Aitch Boat Launches at Raystown Lake in Huntingdon County, are currently closed indefinitely due to unsafe conditions caused by low water levels. All other lake launches remain accessible to the public. Officials clarified that the drop is not a result of a scheduled drawdown. Instead, an ongoing drought has persisted since June, with the lake sitting more than 6.5 feet below its normal conservation pool. There is no winter maintenance at any active launches; visitors should exercise caution regarding slippery conditions.
