Now that the Pennsylvania Farm Show is over, the giant butter sculpture is headed to its final destination. The thousand-pound dairy display was taken down yesterday and will be recycled at a farm in Mifflintown that takes in about 60-thousand-tons of food waste each year. The butter will be broken down in a methane digester to create renewable energy. This year’s sculpture featured the signing of the Declaration of Independence to celebrate the USA’s 250th anniversary.
