Experts say doing chores is beneficial for your health. Cardiologist Grant Reed with the Cleveland Clinic says vacuuming, mopping and carrying laundry are examples of chores that are good for the body. However, he says unless you are getting your heart rate up, chores do not replace regular exercise. The American Heart Association recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise every week. That includes running, biking, swimming and strength training.
