A Pennsylvania House committee has advanced a bill that would pause evictions during dangerous weather for individuals enrolled in federal assistance programs.  Extreme weather is defined in the bill as forecasted freezing temperatures, blizzards, hurricanes, or excessive heat warnings, and eviction proceedings can resume five days after the weather event ends.  The bill will now receive consideration from the full State House.
