A child sex ring case in Centre County is moving to trial for four men, including the alleged leader, following a series of harrowing court testimonies. Yesterday, two defendants—Samuel Friday and Morris Reese-appeared in court, where an 18-year-old victim detailed years of abuse. She testified that the exploitation began at Friday’s Taylor Township home when she was just 14. Friday waived his preliminary hearing, while Reese’s hearing continued with testimony from two other teenagers involved in the case. Testimony indicated Friday organized the sessions where the abuse took place. The co-defendants argued they were unaware the teenagers were underage, claiming they relied on Friday’s representations regarding the girls’ ages. Morris Reese was officially bound over for trial and remains held without bail. He and his co-defendants-Samuel Friday, Michael Woomer, and James Kobuck-are all proceeding to trial on multiple felony charges.
