Despite facing multiple misdemeanor charges, Penn State star Gavin McKenna remains active with the No. 5 Nittany Lions.   Head coach Guy Gadowsky confirmed McKenna will participate in “all hockey activities,” noting that there have been no discussions regarding a suspension.  While the legal process’s impact on his season remains unclear, McKenna is expected to suit up for this weekend’s high-stakes matchup against No. 2 Michigan State.  College Borough Police allege that McKenna punched a man twice in the head near the Pugh Street Parking Garage following a verbal dispute several weeks ago.  While witnesses confirmed an “exchange of words” preceded the incident, the specific details of the argument were not disclosed.  Last week, the felony aggravated assault charge against McKenna was withdrawn.  Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna stated that the legal requirements necessary to sustain that specific charge had not been met. McKenna is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on March 11th.  He is currently out on unsecured bail.
