Cambria County Commissioners greenlit an ordinance yesterday to borrow nearly $8 million through a general obligation bond. Officials noted the move was a pre-planned step to finance several major capital improvement projects. The bond follows the adoption of the county’s December budget, which saw a $7 million increase. According to President Commissioner Scott Hunt, the funds will cover long-standing priorities, such as repairing significant water damage to the courthouse roof, upgrading HVAC systems, addressing records storage, and the Central Park Complex roof.
