Cambria County’s Dan Barefoot hit the ice in Italy yesterday, officially making his Olympic debut. Representing Team USA, the Geistown native wrapped up the first day of the men’s skeleton competition at the 2026 Winter Games in 19th place overall. Barefoot’s opening heat clocked in at 57.47 seconds (19th out of 24), and he shaved time off his second run with a 57.22-second finish. He returns to the track this afternoon for the final two heats at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.
