Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and the FBI is out with a warning to the public about a type of romance scam known as confidence fraud. They say it’s an online method where fraudsters form friendly or romantic relationships to exploit trusting victims. Officials say scammers usually try to convince victims they have feelings for them and then try to exploit money, personal or financial information or items of value. The agency says with Valentine’s Day coming up, online scams have been on the rise.
