An effort to restore the 150-year-old clock tower at the courthouse in Hollidaysburg is underway. Spearheading the fundraiser is American Legion Post 516 in Hollidaysburg. The project, led by Commander and Court Administrator Samuel Dunkle, aims to raise approximately $75,000 to install four new clock faces and a striker to restore the tower’s hourly bell chime. The veterans’ organization plans to complete the work by July 4th, with a rededication ceremony to follow. Private and corporate sponsorships are available, offering donors the chance to be featured on a permanent dedication plaque. If you would like to donate contact American Legion Post 516 in Hollidaysburg.
