A Flood Watch is in effect for much of the state including Central Pennsylvania. The National Weather Service issued the Flood Watch because of expected rainfall and potential ice dams. The watch involves Blair, Cambria, Somerset, Bedford, Huntingdon and Fulton Counties, and remains in effect until 1:00 this afternoon. Officials say ice dams on rivers and streams could cause flash flooding in some areas. Anyone who lives near a waterway is advised to keep an eye on water levels into this afternoon.
