Hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses are without power due to a record-setting snow storm in the Northeast. Most of the outages are in Massachusetts. The historic blizzard affected a good portion of the Northeast including the eastern half of Pennsylvania with more than 20 inches of snow falling in Philadelphia. The southwestern and central parts of Pennsylvania only got hit with lighter snowfall. Rhode Island tops the nation in snow from the storm, with most of the state getting hit with three feet of snow. The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement warning people affected by the nor’easter, of black ice across the Northeast.
