A 38-year old Tyrone man, identified as Marvin Williams Jr., is facing felony animal cruelty charges after allegedly confessing to the execution style killing of his elderly bulldog.  State police report the incident unfolded yesterday morning in Centre County following a reported biting incident.  Williams allegedly drove the dog to a relative’s property in Taylor Township, where he reportedly shot the dog.  Police report that Williams initially admitted to using a rifle, but later changed his statement to claim he instead used a pellet gun.  Williams has been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals causing death.  He is free on unsecured bail, and faces a preliminary hearing on March 4th.
