Democratic U.S. Senator John Fetterman is getting more support from Republicans than his own party. According to a new Quinnipiac University poll of Pennsylvania voters, 73-percent of Republicans approve of Fetterman’s job in office, while 62-percent of Democrats disapprove. The first-term Senator has broken with Dems on several policy issues since President Trump returned to office, and has faced backlash from the progressive wing of the party over his hardline stance in favor of Israel. Fetterman was the only Senate Democrat to vote to advance funding the Department of Homeland Security before a partial government shutdown started earlier this month.
