A measure introduced in the state senate would prevent companies from using AI to set up fluctuating costs for things like groceries. Some companies do alter prices on things based on timing and demand, like concert tickets, airfare, and hotel rentals. The proposed legislation is meant to keep those practices from bleeding over into sales of basic items people need every day.
