In a horrific case out of Brookville, Jefferson County, adoptive parents 51-year-old Amy Bilotte, and 37-year-old Sarah Faber, are each facing more than 900 criminal charges for the alleged long-term torture and starvation of a teenage boy. The teen testified that he was confined to his room for months, monitored by cameras and door alarms. When rescued, the 16-year-old weighed only 79 pounds. Investigators noted he was more than 20 pounds underweight, and severely dehydrated. Allegations include being duct-taped to the floor at night, forced to exercise to the point of exhaustion, being pushed down stairs, and threatened with a knife. Both women have been placed in the Jefferson County Prison on $500,000 bail each. The teen has since been treated at UPMC Children’s Hospital, and is reportedly recovering his health.
