Child Struck By Bullet In Clearfield Co., Injuries Not Life Threatening

Pennsylvania State Police released new details about a 5-year-old girl injured in a shooting last Thursday in Morris Township, Clearfield County.  Troopers responding to the scene on Deer Creek Road, found the child with a gunshot wound to her back.  Fortunately, the injury resulted only in soft tissue damage and is not life-threatening.  The incident occurred while individuals were target shooting nearby.  Authorities believe the injury was caused by a stray bullet.  State police continue to investigate.
