Cambria County officially declared yesterday as “Daniel Barefoot Day” to honor the U.S. Skeleton slider following his return from the Winter Olympics in Italy. The surprise ceremony at the Cambria County Courthouse recognized the Johnstown native’s achievement, and the strong support from his community. Reportedly, Barefoot called his time as an Olympic athlete as the “greatest honor he ever had”.
