It appears that some employees at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette are hopeful that a new owner will keep the paper afloat. KDKA-TV cites anonymous sources within the Post-Gazette staff who claim talks are underway to sell the publication. The current owners, Ohio-based Block Communications, announced plans to permanently shut down the paper this spring, with the last issue set to print for May 3rd. There is no publicly-available information on a potential buyer so far. The Post Gazette has been in operation for nearly 240 years.
