Yesterday, a Cambria County judge sentenced 25-year-old Jamil Branche of Johnstown to 14-40 years in state prison for a fatal drive-by shooting in Johnstown’s Hornerstown neighborhood. Branche was arrested in November 2024 for the death of 32-year-old Isaiah Hixon. In December, he pled guilty to third-degree murder, and two counts of aggravated assault for opening fire on a group of people, an incident that also left two others injured. The sentence followed the terms of a previously negotiated plea agreement.
