Pennsylvania Senator Dave McCormick is voicing his support for the continued U.S. and Israeli missile strikes on Iran. The Republican told ‘This Week In Pennsylvania’ he believes Iran poses “a unique threat” to the U.S. and its allies, and that President Trump determined this was the moment to “best protect America’s interests.” McCormick said he foresees regime change in Iran, but doesn’t expect a “long-term entanglement” with American troops on the ground like in Iraq. The son of former supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei was named the Middle Eastern country’s new supreme leader over the weekend, a choice Trump said was “unacceptable” to him.
