Altoona Police are investigating reports of intentional animal poisoning in the city’s Fairview neighborhood after several dogs were targeted with toxin-soaked items tossed into private yards. One resident confirmed her dog was undergoing treatment after testing positive for antifreeze poisoning. City police report that sadly one dog has passed away as a result of this activity. Altoona Police are urging anyone near 25th Avenue and 12th Street to report any suspicious activity you may have caught on surveillance footage.
