Altoona Police continue their investigation into finding whoever it is that has been poisoning dogs in the Fairview neighborhood. Reportedly, the dogs were poisoned with what is believed to have been antifreeze by soaking bread in it, and then throwing the bread into yards and over fences. Pet owners in Fairview are reportedly being very vigilant as police ask for any surveillance footage you may have showing suspicious activity. Symptoms of antifreeze poisoning manifest themselves within 12 hours after ingestion, and include lethargy, staggering, increased drinking and urination, and vomiting.
