A Centre County judge has delayed the trial for two former Penn State football players charged with rape and other sexual crimes, pushing the proceedings back from their scheduled start next week to this summer. Kaveion Keys, and Jameial Lyons were originally set to stand trial together starting next Monday, however, following a pre-trial hearing yesterday, the judge issued an order for postponement. The charges stem from an incident in July 2024 involving a 17-year-old student at an on-campus apartment. Each faces multiple felony counts, including rape by forcible compulsion, and aggravated indecent assault. Both men were dismissed from the football team shortly after the charges were filed in 2024.
