Big Brothers Big Sisters of Blair County hosted its 42nd annual bowling fundraiser yesterday, at Holiday Bowl in Altoona, to support youth mentorship programs, bringing local families and businesses together as teams competing for first place. Winning this year’s ‘Bowl For Kids Sake’ Tournament was our very own Lightner Lightning Bolts. The event serves as one of the chapter’s two major annual fundraisers, which are essential for operation, as the organization does not receive national funding. The next fundraising event is a July 30th golf event scheduled for July 30th at Iron Masters.
