A 42-year-old Geistown man, identified as Matthew Smith, died after losing control of his motorcycle on Route 219 in Adams Township, Cambria County, on Saturday night, and that’s according to the Cambria County Coroner’s Office. Officials stated Smith was not wearing a helmet, and that speed was a factor in the crash, which resulted in fatal blunt force trauma injuries. Reportedly, the accident occurred after 7:30 on Saturday evening after Smith lost control of his motorcycle and struck an embankment and guide rail before being ejected from his bike. An investigation continues.
