President Trump hosted a fundraiser over the weekend at Mar-a-Lago, for Pennsylvania Republican gubernatorial nominee Stacy Garrity, boosting her campaign with over six figures in proceeds. During an unannounced appearance, Trump endorsed Garrity and criticized incumbent Democrat Josh Shapiro as “a stiff,” aiming to help her bridge a significant campaign finance gap against the governor. Garrity, who serves as the state treasurer is considered an underdog in her bid to unseat Josh Shapiro as Governor of Pennsylvania. The latest campaign finance reports show a significant fundraising gap: while Garrity’s campaign brought in roughly $1.5 million in 2025 and closed the year with $1 million on hand, Shapiro raised over $23 million, ending the period with a $30 million war chest.
