Sidewalk Replacement To Start In Altoona

Sidewalk replacement will begin next Monday along a six-block area of 8^th Street between 6^th and Crawford Avenues in Altoona.  Minor traffic delays are possible, but according to a press release, the plan is for 8^th Street to remain open throughout the project.  The goal of the project is to provide safe, accessible sidewalks for pedestrians.  The project also includes ADA ramps.  The sidewalk replacement is expected to be ongoing throughout the summer.
