An unidentified 17-year-old Altoona boy is facing animal cruelty charges after Pennsylvania State Police reported he repeatedly struck a dog with a metal baseball bat in an attempt to break its neck. The incident, which occurred March 2nd in Williamsburg, left the dog with serious head injuries. The dog, whose name is Bailey, was stabilized at a veterinary clinic, and placed into the custody of a Blair County Humane Officer. Bailey is reportedly doing better, and has been placed in foster care. State police are continuing their investigation. (Photo provided by CPHS)
