A Pennsylvania judge heard arguments yesterday regarding the potential dismissal of a corruption of a minor charge against Somerset County Sheriff Dusty Weir, stemming from alleged inappropriate comments made to a 15-year-old at a “Shop with a Cop” even, two years ago, at Walmart in Somerset. While the defense argued the actions did not meet the legal definition of corruption, the Attorney General’s office maintained that Weir’s actions, including taking the minor to a condom aisle, showed clear intent to corrupt. The judge in this case has yet to decide whether the case should move forward.
