Immigrant rights activist Jaime Martinez is now on an eight-day walk to Clearfield County after departing from Pittsburgh yesterday. Martinez, the founder of the group Frontline Dignity, is hiking to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement processing center near Philipsburg as a way to inspire support for people targeted by Trump’s immigration crackdown. He is expected in Apollo today and should be able to reach Indiana Borough by tomorrow. Martinez plans to hold a vigil for the individuals being held at the processing center when he arrives next Sunday.
