Governor Josh Shapiro is one of the Democrat politicians who are raising their profiles ahead of the next presidential election in 2028. Shapiro appeared alongside other potential White House candidates, including Kamala Harris, at Reverend Al Sharpton’s National Action Network Conference in New York City this week. Shapiro joined Sharpton to discuss politically-motivated violence, detailing the attack on the governor’s mansion last year. He says political violence has always been a part of the system in the U.S., but more of it is coming up right now “because our leaders, in many cases, are failing us.”
