The CDC reports seeing the highest number of tick bite emergency room visits since 2017. Ninety-six out of 100-thousand ER visits in April were for tick bites, three times the number recorded in March. So far, the Northeast and Midwest have been the most impacted. Here in Pennsylvania, the state is experiencing a record, 10-year high in emergency visits for tick-bites, with cases up 40% in the Northeast, prompting urgent warnings. Pennsylvania leads the nation in Lyme Disease cases, which are active from early spring through late fall.
