A Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice and Pittsburgh native is citing growing antisemitism as his reason for leaving the Democrat Party. Justice David Wecht made the announcement yesterday, saying he will be an independent moving forward. In a statement on the decision, Wecht says Jewish hatred is becoming more commonly accepted among antiwar activists, party leaders, and even elected officials affiliated with the Democrats. He claims intimidation and attacks at synagogues, among other actions, are being “ignored and even coddled.”
