Parking Lot Closed Across From Mishler

Patrons heading to downtown Altoona for upcoming events at the Misher Theatre will need to adjust their travel plans due to a temporary parking lot closure.  The standard parking lot across from the theatre is unavailable.  Crews from Ventura Construction have begun tearing up the Altoona Parking Authority lot on 12^th Avenue to complete major renovations, including updated parking lines, and enhanced lighting.  The upgrade project is expected to continue through mid-July. Theatre officials and city planners are advising attendees to utilize parking options such as on-street parking on those blocks surrounding the theatre, or using the 11^th Street Garage to avoid congestion. Theatergoers are also highly encouraged to leave early to secure a parking space before the scheduled showtimes.
