Police report that an unidentified child was taken to UPMC Bedford on Saturday for a choking incident. First responders were sent to a home on 1st street in Everett Borough just after 9 pm on Saturday night. The child then had to be lifeflighted to Childrens Hospital in Pittsburgh for more advanced treatment. Authorities said the child died on Sunday afternoon around 4pm. No further details about the child’s death were released or how it happened. State police are handling the investigation.
